My name is Raleigh Adams. I am an exterior designer & artist based in Boone, North Carolina, and my medium is North Carolina nature—my favorite place to be is outside.
My connection to North Carolina nature has been shaped by golfing with my father, home and gardens with my mother, and growing up with the Appalachian mountains as my playground.
These foundational experiences and a cultivated interest in fine art shape my work today, spanning disciplines like assemblage, product design, exterior design, and cinema.
I like to describe my aesthetic as aspirational like the Classical world, yet low-key like the Appalachians. I bridge these concepts by shaping hand-foraged materials—like rhododendron, locust, moss, and mushrooms—from local forests into classical forms, turning nature into contemporary fine art.
In addition, I intend to evoke a powerful sense of place and aesthetic heritage with hand-selected found objects to express my worldview and unique artistic vision.
When I am not foraging for materials in the blue ridge mountains, you can find me golfing, road biking, or dining al fresco with family and friends.
Welcome to my Exterior Design Studio, where I’m always finding new ways to
THINK OUTSIDE.
